Lalakhal

Lalakhal is a wide channel in the Sharee River near the Tamabil road. The river is not very deep and is one of the sources of sand in Sylhet. The focal point of the feature is the variety of colours of the water, which varies from blue to green to clear at different points.

How to go to Lalakhal

Most of the people travelling to Sylhet from Dhaka uses Green Line Bus Service which has its stop at Sylhet Bishshaw Road (Map: https://goo.gl/maps/7XqPDzcCywxRhUVk7). Private Car service is available from that point, but CNG Auto Rickshaws can also be hired. The car and auto fare varies from time to time (CNG Auto Rickshaws will be cheaper but has to compromise with the dust). The last stop to reach Lalakhal would be Sarighat (Map: https://goo.gl/maps/94zShW1yCtTPjkMw8) from where engine boats can be hired. One can hire the whole boat or the fare can be shared with other tourists visiting the spot.
